I Spy My Unconscious Gender Bias

Georgina Dowling is a 17 year old student from Dublin. She talks about unconscious gender bias and overcoming gender inequality by being aware of our unconscious biases and hopes her talk will inspire you. Georgina Dowling is a seventeen year old feminist. She enjoys experiencing and learning about different cultures through travel and plant-based cooking. She is a passionate believer in equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their sex, ethnicity, sexuality or religion. Georgina believes that the solutions to many societal issues begin with oneself. In this talk, she shares her experience tackling her own unconscious gender biases and how our individual biases contribute to gender inequality still prevalent in society today. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
